1. Introduction
Disruption, Inc., doing business as Disruption Consulting and as Praetorian Works ("Praetorian Works," "we," "our" or "us"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. Praetorian Works is the private-client brand of Disruption Consulting, purpose built for individuals, families, family offices and executives.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard information when you visit praetorian.works (the "Website") or contact us through it. It is written to meet the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, "CCPA"), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and other applicable privacy laws. Services delivered to a household or family office are governed by that client's agreement, which may add to this policy.

Disruption, Inc. (doing business as Disruption Consulting and Praetorian Works)Attention: PrivacyPO Box 1689Vista, CA 92085Email: privacy@praetorian.works3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide
We collect the information you choose to give us through the contact form and the quote request form on the Website:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number and, if you provide it, the family office or organization you represent
- Inquiry details: the subject and message you write, the services you are interested in, the number of people, devices or properties to cover, and the service level you select
- Correspondence: anything you send us afterwards by email or phone in relation to your inquiry
3.2 Information collected automatically
With your consent, Google Analytics collects information about how the Website is used:
- Device and browser information: browser type, operating system and screen size
- Usage data: pages visited, time on page, links clicked and referring pages
- Approximate location: derived from a truncated IP address, at country or region level
3.3 reCAPTCHA
The contact and quote forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than automated software. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for that purpose. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
4. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to you: answer your inquiry, prepare a quote and arrange a conversation with a named engineer
- Deliver services: set up and support the services you engage us for, under your client agreement
- Improve the Website: understand which pages are useful and where visitors have trouble, using analytics you have accepted
- Protect the Website: detect, prevent and respond to abuse, fraud and security incidents, including through reCAPTCHA
- Meet legal obligations: comply with law, enforce our terms and protect our rights and yours
4.1 Legal bases (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics, on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering the people who contact us, on the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you, and on our legal obligations.
6. Your choices about analytics
Google Analytics runs only after you accept it in the notice shown on your first visit. Declining, or changing your mind later, stops analytics immediately for your browser and deletes the Google Analytics cookies already set. Your choice is stored on your device under the name pw-privacy-choice and honored for one year. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a decline.
7. Your California privacy rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know: what personal information we collect, use and disclose about you
- Delete: the personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions
- Correct: inaccurate personal information we hold about you
- Opt out: of the sale or sharing of personal information; we do not sell or share it, and the analytics control above lets you turn off analytics at any time
- Limit: the use of sensitive personal information, should we ever collect it
- Non-discrimination: you will not be treated differently for exercising these rights
7.1 How to exercise your rights
Email privacy@praetorian.works or write to the address above. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time the law allows. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by providing written authorization.
8. Your rights in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal information, to receive a portable copy of the information you provided, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
- To exercise these rights, email privacy@praetorian.works.
- You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- The Website is hosted in the United States. Where we transfer personal information from these regions, we rely on standard contractual clauses or another mechanism recognized under applicable law.
9. Data security
We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encryption in transit, access controls, monitored infrastructure and staff trained in confidentiality. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but protecting information is the core of what we do.
10. Data retention
We keep contact and quote submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you, to evaluate and deliver services, and to meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations. Analytics data is held in Google Analytics under the retention period configured for our property. You may ask us to delete your personal information at any time; we will comply subject to legal and contractual obligations.
11. Children's privacy
Our services are for adults, and the Website is not directed to anyone under 18. The households we serve may include minors; we do not knowingly collect personal information from a minor through the Website. If a client engagement involves devices or accounts used by minors, that work is directed by the principal or a parent or guardian and governed by the client agreement. If you believe a minor has provided us information through the Website, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. Third-party websites
The Website may link to websites we do not control, including disruption.consulting and the sites of technology providers. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.
